  • Aside from our decade long expertise and artistry, when you book with us, you not only choose us, but we choose you.

    1. We only take one wedding a day. Once your date is secured, it is yours, and yours alone. You are our priority.

    2. We make time for you and your party. Each client slot accounts for consultation and service time:

      Bridesmaids and MoB/G services are 1 hour long and 1 hour and 30 minutes for our brides.

    3. Our education is constant. We continue to improve our artistry and techniques to meet the current needs of our clients.

    4. We understand the weight of a bridal morning. There are no do-overs on wedding days. We know how important this day is to you, and we are committed to meeting that challenge.

    5. We will be there. In 10 years of business, we have never been late to a wedding. We plan for the unpredictable, and come prepared. You can count on us to show up, and be ready for anything.

  • Yes! However, depending on the time constraints, Carmella is only able to accommodate up to a certain number of clients. Above that, a second artist may be required.

  • It is recommended that you book your appointment at least 8 months in advance, preferably sooner, to secure your date.

    Weekends, holidays, and spring/summer season are typically our busiest time, and will only reserve dates with a signed contract and paid retainer.

  • Preview appointments are a great way to see what you like and what you don't like, especially for clients that don't particularly wear makeup on a regular basis and may need time to adjust to the change.

    Previews also provide you with an opportunity to see how well your makeup will last, and if there are areas of concern that need to be noted for your big day.

    We recommend booking a preview service during events/engagement photos at least 1-3 months prior to your wedding date.

    If you’re unsure about securing your date prior to meeting Carmella and her team in person, a Trial booking will be a great option to consider in order to see if they’re the right fit for your special day!

  • When you are ready to book, please connect with us by filling out our request form. If the date requested is available, additional details will be forwarded and your customized estimate will be provided for review.

    A signed contract/service agreement and a 50% non-refundable and non-transferrable retainer is required to secure the Wedding Service date.

GENERAL FAQs

  • Each client's service is a little bit different. Depending on the condition of the skin, allergies, preferences, and the type of look we are hoping to achieve, a service can range between 45 - 120 minutes.

    An additional 10-15 minutes before and after is allotted for set up and take down.

  • The length of wear varies per client based on their skin type and condition. On average, expect around a 8-10 hour wear time with little to no shine.

    Touch-up kits are provided for Wedding Service or Special Event Service clients. The touch up kit typically includes:

    • Blotting paper

    • Lip Product

    • Disposables: Mini-sponge/applicator

    • Additional items may be requested at the client's expense

  • We accept Cash, E-transfers, and all major Credit Cards.

  • Our services are typically mobile and done on location. For travel fees, please visit our Additional Fees page for an estimated breakdown within Calgary and outside city limits.

    An in-studio option is available upon request and subject to availability.

  • All products and tools are sanitized with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol before, during and after appointments.

    Brushes are regularly cleaned with either Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleaner or Sephora Daily Brush Cleaner Spray and deep cleaned with Beautyblender liquid blendercleanser®.
